Semester Grade Calculator
Most high schools compute a semester grade from two quarters (or terms) and a final exam — often 40% / 40% / 20%. Enter your grades and your school's weights. Leave the final exam blank to see what you need on it.

Worked example
Example: Q1 88%, Q2 82%, final exam 79% (40/40/20)
- 88 × 0.40 = 35.2
- 82 × 0.40 = 32.8
- 79 × 0.20 = 15.8
- 35.2 + 32.8 + 15.8 = 83.8
Semester grade 83.8% — a B.
Formula
Semester grade = Q1 × w₁ + Q2 × w₂ + Final × w_f (weights sum to 100%)
Final needed = (Target − Current × (1 − w_f)) ÷ w_f
If your weights don't add up to 100, they're normalized automatically.
