Clear first, warm second
Bright Spring, also called Clear Spring, leads with clarity and saturation. These people often have strong contrast, such as dark hair with bright eyes and warm-neutral skin, and their eyes may look almost sparkling. Soft, dusty colors make them look washed out.
How to use it
The palette mixes warm brights (hot coral, orange red, bright yellow) with a few cooler brights (royal blue, emerald, fuchsia), because the season is only slightly warm. That makes Bright Spring more flexible than True Spring.
- Wear one or two bright colors with a crisp neutral such as navy or clean white.
- Contrast is your friend: navy with white, or coral with turquoise.
- Charcoal brown works as a softer alternative to black.
Colors to avoid
Dusty mauve, olive drab, taupe and muted khaki are the problem shades. They are too gray for this season's clarity.
Bright Spring or Bright Winter?
The two sit side by side. Both need saturated color. If warmer brights like coral and lime suit you, Bright Spring is more likely; if icy pastels and pure black look good, check the Bright Winter palette.
Accessories
Polished gold, and mixed metals, usually work. A bright lipstick in hot coral or warm pink fits the palette better than nude or brown shades.
