Two kinds of soft green
The swatches split into cool, mint-leaning greens and warm, pistachio-leaning greens. Cool ones look clean and modern, close to seafoam and glass. Warm ones look natural and edible, like pistachio ice cream or young leaves. Choosing one side keeps a palette coherent.
Calm without being dull
Pastel greens are restful, which makes them popular for:
- nurseries and bedrooms,
- health, pharmacy and wellness products,
- eco and organic packaging,
- app backgrounds for success screens and onboarding.
To stop such a palette from feeling flat, add one deeper green or a contrasting warm accent such as peach or coral.
Text on pastel greens
Use dark text: charcoal, a deep green from the same hue, or navy. Every swatch here gives black text a contrast ratio well above 4.5:1, and none works with white text at normal size.
Mixing with other pastels
It sits comfortably beside pastel yellow, pink and lavender because they share the same lightness. The pastel colors page has all of them in one place. For cooler, clearer shades, see mint green, and for grayer greens, sage green.
