1. Who we are
This policy covers hexacalc.com (“HexaCalc”, “we”). Questions about it go to [email protected].
2. Images, camera and screen data
Images you open or paste, frames from your camera, and pixels you sample with the eyedropper are processed by JavaScript inside your browser. They are not uploaded to our server or to anyone else. The camera only turns on after you press the start button and your browser asks for permission, and it stops when you leave the page or press stop.
3. Data stored in your browser
Some tools keep small amounts of data in your browser’s local storage so they work the way you left them, for example recent colors, locked palette swatches and game scores. This data never leaves your device and you can clear it from the tool or from your browser settings.
4. Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which tools are used. It sets first-party cookies and collects data such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type. We do not send Google the colors, images or text you enter into tools. Google’s use of this data is described at policies.google.com/privacy.
5. Advertising
We show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalized ads at adssettings.google.com, and read how Google uses data from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Where the law requires consent for these cookies, such as in the EEA and UK, consent is requested through Google’s certified consent message before personalized ads are shown.
6. Server logs
Like most websites, our web server and our content delivery network (Cloudflare) keep short-lived technical logs with IP addresses, requested URLs and browser details. They are used for security and troubleshooting and are not combined with other data.
7. Email
If you email us, we keep your address and message only to reply. We never sell it.
8. Your choices and rights
You can block or delete cookies in your browser, use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and turn off ad personalization as described above. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.
9. Children
HexaCalc is a general-audience site and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
